My journey

Greetings, my name is Philiswa Mbotho from Umzimkulu (Driefontein) location, I am doing an internship at Green Farming trust, this is an opportunity that makes me happy and makes me see my dreams come true. It was my dream to be at the dairy, one day I was looking at the cows of the farms as I passed by and I fell in love with them and wanted to be close to them.

I did in-service training at Bizana (Sinozinto primary co-operative) and I completed it at Howick (Fourbas farm) which is a commercial farm. Both were dealing with crop and that\'s what made me end up loving crop but I didn\'t stop from saying that one day I want to be on a dairy farm. I gained a lot about crop because at Bizani we were doing things manually that taught me a lot, when I went to Howick most of the things we done by machinery that\'s what I liked because it showed me that there are many ways to hit a bird 

after my in-service training I joined Future farmers and asked to work in a dairy, luckily I got that opportunity since I work with cows now my love for them has increased a lot, especially for calves
