Empowering Women in Agriculture: Highlights from the 2025 BRICS+ Summit

The 2025 BRICS+ Agriculture Investment & Trade Summit, held from March 27-29 at the Durban International Convention Centre, was a landmark event. This year's theme, "From Vision to Venture – Women Shaping the Future of Agriculture Investment & Global Trade," brought together over 5,000 MSMEs and women entrepreneurs from more than 40 countries.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Saville Foundation and David Walker for making this conference possible. Their support was instrumental in bringing future farmers closer together with global leaders and innovators in agriculture.

We are also proud to share that Fiona Stuart and Mafezi Zikhali attended on behalf of Future Farmers for networking and fundraising purposes, furthering our mission to support the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Participants left with renewed energy and actionable insights, ready to drive innovation and sustainability in agriculture. The event underscored the vital role of women in shaping the future of global trade and investment. Future Farmers benefited immensely from the summit through networking opportunities and connecting with global leaders, investors, and mentors to build valuable relationships. They gained access to the latest agricultural technologies and sustainable practices to enhance farming methods, attracted funding for climate-resilient and sustainable agriculture projects, and received insights and guidance from experienced industry leaders to drive growth and innovation.
